Upcoming events/deadlines: 

  • Juniors, CCIR Course selection your senior year is now open. Please fill out this LINK to let us know you are interested in taking a course and we will get you scheduled with your counselor. Fall courses must be registered for by Friday May 22nd. If you have any questions please let me know.

  • LAST CALL SENIORS- if you are enlisting in the military or enrolling in JROTC or a military academy, email Mrs. Hoyt today! We want to celebrate you at our Annual Military Signing Day this Wednesday at 2 pm in the PAC. Today is the last day to email Mrs. Hoyt and let her know your plans! 

  • Student Council is partnering with Central Standard TOMORROW. May 12, to raise money for the upcoming Hunger Drive Season! Make sure to come support!!

  • Do you like to dance or sing, or both at the same time? Show choir auditions for the 2026-2027 school year will be taking place on May 26th and 27th. Come and learn the choreography at our learning days in FA2 from 3:30-6:00 on May 19th and May 21st. For more information, email Mrs. Francois: kfrancois@bettendorf.k12.ia.us.   • May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we will be celebrating all month long and bringing awareness to this topic that impacts everyone. We all have mental health, it’s also called Brain Health and is part of our overall health as human beings. Each Wednesday in May, we are wearing green for Mental Health, so make sure to be SEEN IN GREEN.

  • All writers should consider applying for the Young Emerging Writers (YEW) Summer Internship. Print and complete the attached PDF application and submit it to Ms. Mitola in the Library. Writing samples should be submitted using this form. The deadline is May 15th.

  • Don't miss out on your last chance to save lives this school year! Our final Blood Drive of the 25-26 school year is TOMORROW! All students age 16 and older are invited to donate! We need 70 more donors to fill our blood drive. Remember - each time you donate you could be helping up to 3 patients that need blood supplies!  If you are 16 years old you need a permission slip every time you donate - stop by the Career Center to grab one today!   • Cultural Diversity Club Our next (and last) meeting of the year is Wednesday, May 13th at 7:35 am in B202. We are planning next year's events and choosing leadership :) and Celebrating our successes! 

Upcoming PRIDE sessions:

  • STAMP testing will be held on Thursdays and Fridays during Pride until the end of the school year.  Please let Frau Law know if you need to make alternative arrangements. 

  • Join us in the Brain Health Room this Thursday for a Special Pride Session called "Main Character Energy". Guest Speaker Lindsay Schneider from NAMI will be presenting on taking control of your story, since you are the main character in your life story.  Sign up for Main Character Energy in flexischedule under Mrs Hilton-Cullum and join us this Thursday for snacks and facts.
