🍎 2nd graders made homemade applesauce today! They have been learning about measuring and they learned to read a recipe! The apples came from Mrs. Mosier’s dad’s farm! 🍎

Kindergarten students learned about the 5 senses today with popcorn! They got to hear it, smell it, see it, feel it and eat it! Thank you PTA for helping with this!




We’re excited to welcome St. Ambrose University volunteers to Grant Wood Elementary school this week! In partnership with our amazing PTA, these volunteers will be supporting teachers and students throughout the building. We are so thankful for their time, energy, and commitment to helping our students learn and grow! 💙🤍🐝🖤💛🐾









Sown students had a praying mantis visitor during recess!


We had such a great time at the Homecoming parade! A big thank you to Mrs. Clark-Smith, our staff and the amazing safety patrol team for representing GW so well. It was a fun night of community, school spirit and celebrating both our GW Little Dogs and the Bettendorf Bulldogs!









Students got to experience the amazing Plant Discovery Bus from the Quad City Botanical Center. They learned about plants from around the world and then planted their own plant to take home!
