BIG news coming out of 5A! Last month, Will F. entered a writing competition for the University of Iowa. They had over 300 submissions from many countries and he placed first in the 5th/6th grade division. Each year, they ask writers to stick to a concept-- this year, the topic was "milestones."

His poem is titled "Milestone of Loss." Great reminder that not all milestones are happy, but shape who we are nonetheless.

Mrs. Clark-Smith went to the 4th grade orchestra concert last night! She was amazed at how great they were and loved seeing so many GW students!

Our Epilepsy Walk on Saturday was a huge success! 💜
Just shy of $18,000 raised, 190 participants, neurologists sharing their expertise, and our incredible nursing team leading the charge.
Thank you to all who walked, donated, and supported epilepsy awareness!

🍎 2nd graders made homemade applesauce today! They have been learning about measuring and they learned to read a recipe! The apples came from Mrs. Mosier’s dad’s farm! 🍎
